Grass is always greener on the other side, this we all know. But we all want to try and go the other side, feel, touch before agreeing! (not sure even then if we agree…)
Is Parnaya Toye Punchhdi Wanki a story of two neighboring couples, two ever dissatisfied men and two nagging wives? No, it’s a story of all Men, all Wives.
In this humorously told story, we see two Men, eyeing each others wife. Not that their wives are incompetent, nor that they don’t love their wives, but just a natural reaction to something which is not yours. Isn’t it said that all things we want are either, illegal, immoral or belong to others. In this case (or in almost all Men’s case) it belongs to another man.
Imagine a Man’s wish, to spend 24 hours with other Man’s wife, (as her Husband) comes true and his prayers are answered.
What will happen? He is sure to be very happy, only to realise that the other Man is now Husband of his wife for 24 hours.
And the confusion begins, dog and bone situations, wagging tails and rain of laughter with a never ending story of what is good from far, is far from good.
